Math Educator with 20+ years of experience

With two decades of experience in the field of Mathematics Education, I have honed my skills in delivering quality education to students of all ages. I believe that each student has unique needs, backgrounds, and abilities, and it is my goal to understand and cater to those needs.

My academic background, includes B. Ed. from Guru Ghasidas University in Bilaspur and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Ch. Charan Singh University in Meerut and my various academic credentials have equipped me with a strong foundation in mathematics and education.

Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles, including PGT Mathematics, Lecturer for Mathematics and Computer Science, Class-in-Charge, Academic Coordinator, and Counsellor. In my previous positions at schools such as D.A.V. Public School and educational institutions like Genius Academy, Rao Tutorials in Korba (Chhattisgarh) and Sri Venkateshwara PU College, and in SEA College Bangalore, I have taught and motivated students to achieve their best.

Achievements

I have guided a team of 12 students to participate in Students Quality Control Circles at City Montessori School, Lucknow twice during the year 2013 and 2015. Prizes were awarded in both competitions. It’s an international event where more than 100 national and international schools participated.
International Young Mathematicians Convention - The 6th IYMC was held from 2nd – 5th December 2014. In this event 21 international teams from S. Africa, Philippines, Russia and neighbouring countries, 39 national level teams from eminent schools and 22 teams of local schools from Lucknow participated. A team of six bright students along with Ms. Kavita Rana as team Leader and Teacher In charge participated in the convention held at CMS Lucknow. With a focused and determined effort the senior team won the competition and secured the Bronze Medal. The team bought Laurel to the School in winning the prize at International level. Not only in Mathematics but also in cultural event DAVPS was well appreciated.
As a team leader, my team of 6 students participated in International Young Mathematicians Convention (IYMC)- Mathematica-2014 and secured third position in the competition.

Workshops / Training Programs

Certificate of Participation on classroom Management workshop conducted by C.B.S.E. in 2015.
Various certificates for attending workshops conducted by DAV Regional Center for Academic Excellence. These workshops are conducted biannually.
I am doing Evaluation Work for C.B.S.E. Exams for Class XII 2014 onwards.

Personal Qualities / Skills

Teaching Mathematics with Innovative ideas. Students enjoy learning with me.
Ability to explain complicated mathematical concepts in an easily understandable manner.
I provide individualized and extracurricular support for students who are struggling with learning concepts in mathematics.
I have also worked as a volunteer for Vanasuma Charitable Trust in association with Milan in 2005. The trust was involved in teaching the underprivileged children in Bangalore.

My commitment to excellence in education has been recognized through my participation in various workshops and training programs, including a Classroom Management workshop conducted by CBSE, and I have led students to participate in competitions such as the Students Quality Control Circles and the International Young Mathematicians Convention, where they secured a top position and won accolades.

I am a passionate and dedicated educator who is committed to helping students achieve their full potential and become confident, enthusiastic learners.
